Just got my 24-70l II and 5d II after using a 30d and sigma glass forever. Excited to see how well it would perform so I shot myself. Initially I was skeptical how much an upgrade would make a difference but holy cow this lens is incredibly sharp…

This was shot at f8, iso 100,  1/200th of a second.  I had a 40inch umbrella softbox 2 feet over my head pointed down.Maybe fifteen degrees from my right side.  I put a gobo behind it to limit some falloff on the white background as I wanted to keep it gray. I  put a shoot through umbrella same angle on the opposite side for fill and a 24 inch softbox behind me up high to the right for rim light. This is also a crop of about 15 percent of the frame. No sharpening and only a slight contrast boost for processing.
