Just a few miles from downtown Atlanta, The Howard House is a historic estate / mansion located in the heart of the Kirkwood neighborhood. Offering an upscale wedding ceremony and reception venue, the house additionally offers overnight accommodations for up to 15 guests, making it a unique and functional space to enjoy the entire weekend.
Built from 1890-1896, The Howard House is one of the oldest structures in this charming and lively community. To this day, the house remains a retreat within the city, while providing convenience to major areas of interest and transit. Fully renovated over the last several years, the house has been restored to its former grandeur and outfitted with modern amenities, welcoming guests from all over the world and hosting remarkable weddings and other events throughout the year.
- The Howard House specializes in creating full weekend experiences, as the property can accommodate up to 15 guests overnight. This allows for a larger degree of relaxation and fun for the couple + their friends and family.
- Originally built in 1896, the house features predominantly original features including hardwood floors, windows, fireplaces, trim work, and more. This magical home in cute Kirkwood was a fantastic hosting place for the bridal party during our wedding week! We were able to have a bachelorette evening and multiple small gatherings throughout the week with our families/friends/wedding party, and a wonderful rehearsal dinner party in this fabulous home, making our wedding week joyful and intimate with all of those we love ❤️❤️❤️❤️ We can’t thank The Howard House team enough for making our week absolutely perfect, with every detail completely attended to with speed and kindness. Truly the best hospitality! They are thoughtful and thorough, and did everything they could to make our wedding week so organized, special and memorable! We hope to come back for many anniversary parties ????????????????????????
The Howard House was a dream venue for our wedding in April. We loved having a central location for the entire weekend (though I’m sure it could be utilized beautifully just for the ceremony/reception) as we shared a full weekend with family and friends. The beauty of this venue is that you can create an event exactly to your liking (using your own food vendors/alcohol/entertainment/etc) though Andre and Jake were there to provide excellent recommendations on everything. The house is well-equipped (and well-maintained) to host a wedding from small to large in size as the outside space in the front and the back is gorgeous. Andre and Jake took excellent care of us leading up to the wedding ensuring that all questions were answered, and our weekend was seamless due to the two of them. I’m thankful for the weekend of memories and predict that the Howard House will be the most popular wedding venue in Atlanta in years to come.
Stayed at the Howard house for the weekend and loved it! The house has an old timely feel with updated appliances and awesome kitchen. The seating areas throughout are beautiful and each room has its own unique feel. Had such a great time, it was so relaxing. Definitely recommend it!
I love photographing weddings at The Howard House! There are some great features that make this a great wedding venue for getting beautiful wedding photographs. The brides getting ready space is bright, well decorated, and has great natural light making it a great spot for getting beautiful bridal candids and portraits. I also love all of the vintage beautiful furniture everywhere. The old couch in the bedroom made a great bridal portrait spot. The grooms’ suite is also a great spot with the pool table to allow the guys a fun spot to hang out. The fact that the couples can stay there the night before and get ready at the venue makes for a stress-free day for both the couple and photographer. The Howard House has a nice variety of old and fresh spaces to use for photography both inside and out. If the weather is great you have plenty of trees and garden space to use. If the weather isnt the best there are plenty of indoor portrait options as well. I really hope to be getting more weddings here and I would highly recommend it!

What sort of packages do you offer and what’s included in that price?
In addition to day rates, we offer full weekend rates with overnight stays for up to 15 guests starting at $3,600 for a peak weekend (less during off-peak months) and vary based on various details. The weekend rate includes the ability to host a rehearsal dinner, ceremony/reception, and brunch – as desired.
