Sope Creek Paper Mill Ruins Engagement Session

I had a great time with Cat & Kyle for their engagement session at Sope Creek paper mill ruins.

The ruins at Sope Creek are a beautiful spot for an engagement session. The creek and the trees create a serene backdrop, while the old buildings add to the rustic feel.

Some of my favorite photos from our sope creek engagement session.

The Sope Creek Paper Mill ruins are located in the Chattahoochee National Forest and is one of the few remaining mills in Georgia. It was built in 1904 and closed in 1924. It was a major employer for the local population, providing employment to over 100 people at its height.

The mill used to produce paper, newsprint, and cigarette paper. The mill also had its own railroad which ran from the mill to the Atlanta & West Point Railroad Company line just outside of Gainesville.

Engagement sessions are a great way to capture the love and connection between two people. We want to document these moments because they are so special.

The engagement session is a time for us to spend with the couple, getting to know them and their story. It’s an opportunity for us to get some great shots of them in their natural environment, which is usually where they feel most themselves.

We have been shooting weddings for over 10 years and we love what we do!
