Jennifer & AJ’s Destination Bahamas Wedding

Jennifer & AJ’s Destination Bahamas Wedding was EPIC! So going into this destination wedding at the Bahamas I knew it was going to be something epic. And Jennifer and AJ of course didn’t disappoint. This was a very special wedding for me not only because the awesome opportunity to go on a cruise and a beach in the Bahamas to work, but because the Bride is a great friend and such a fun person. (AJ’s pretty cool too). Jennifer is an amazing wedding planner and every time I get to photograph one of her weddings I always get awesome images because she runs the day so well, has a great team, and always helps the couples have a great time. She’s the only wedding planner who ends up in her client’s blogs because the clients love her so much that they end up with great photos either laughing with her, hugging her, or dragging her on to the dance floor to party with them. So when I got the chance to be a part of her day I knew there was going to be no shortage of chances to get fun pictures. Especially being that Jennifer said that was her number one priority to have everyone have fun. She didn’t care as much about the traditional wedding stuff she just wanted to make sure everyone was having a good time and of course, she made it happen. The day started getting ready on the cruise ship and they had a sweet first look on the boat deck overlooking the island and then they got to make a grand entrance that the tourists seemed to enjoy as much as us. As they got off the ship they were greeted by a traditional Bahamian Junkanoo band that led a parade for the couple and their guests to the beach. Of course, AJ and Jennifer had beautiful heartfelt vows but it was even sweeter to see AJ prepared vows for his new daughters as well and how happy and proud they were for their parents as well. Jennifer chartered a private yacht for the reception and just wanted everyone to have fun on the water which they did and we ended the day with dancing on the boat with amazing light and the beautiful teal sea behind them. You couldn’t have asked for a better scene for a celebration. I’m sure Jennifer will be happy not to be Bride AND Planner in the same day again, but it was so fun to see Jennifer and AJ on the other side enjoying being and EPIC couple for once. If you need a planner then you should be an EPIC couple too. They are the best. I’m so honored that they chose me to come along especially getting to bring Sarah out of retirement as my second photographer. I’m so happy for these two and am glad that we will be friends for a long time.
