The Barn at Valley Brook Farm Wedding: So I shot this wedding on Saturday and have worked on editing the photos every day since, and so that means 5 days straight I’ve gotten a little choked up for Kendall & Keegan and their beautiful wedding at The Barn at Valleybrook Farms. I always have a soft spot for the sweet moments couples and their families share on their big day and have been known to smile or get misty eyed while working, but this wedding was another level. This couple was a little extra special to me and had so many reasons for me to be so into their day. Of course they are super sweet and happy together, of course, and they also are high school sweethearts like my wife and I, and the coolest part is that I’ve known them since they were kids. So I would say I had a little extra connection and motivation to really show their joy and these two and their families made it so easy for me. Pretty much everyone shed a tear at somepoint. Anytime I see the groom get choked up it always gets me, and Keegan couldn’t help but let his love show with a few tears. Its one of the most pure signs of true love to witness and capturing it always makes me proud. My favorite thing about photographing weddings is getting to witness all of the joy and connection between a couple and their families and this wedding was full of it. I think it holds the record for most tears and laughs of all my weddings this year and I’m so glad I got to see and capture it.

Some of my favorite things to photograph at the venue were the old trucks and tractors in the woods, the giant barn doors, and the metal siding with rusty patina, and of course all of the amazing people.
