Guardian Works Wedding
I had been eagerly anticipating Morgan and Paul’s wedding for quite some time. I knew it would be extraordinary given Paul’s affable character and easy-to-get-along-with nature, coupled with Morgan’s creativity. Their synergy did not disappoint on the day of their wedding.
Upon my arrival at the Clermont Hotel, I was welcomed by a vibrant atmosphere filled with laughter from the bridesmaids and Morgan’s grandmother, who had a knack for cracking jokes. Morgan was the epitome of joy, her smile never fading throughout the entire event. Even when it came time to capture our more serious, “artsy” shots, she couldn’t keep a straight face for more than a second without returning to her infectious smile.
Witnessing such happiness is the highlight of being a photographer. Among my favorite shots were those showing people’s genuine happiness for the couple which was happening constantly. And those featuring a faux sunset technique that I introduced for this couple. It’s always so awesome to have extra time granted by the couple for portraits to allow me to experiment and create something unique. Guardian Works, with its reimagined industrial space, is now one of my favorite venues. Its graffiti walls provide a fun contrast to the formal wedding attire, representing Atlanta’s knack for transforming old spaces into chic, grungy venues.
With the successful celebration of another beautiful couple, I am excited to share these memories. As always, thank you for looking.
