What an amazing location Montaluce winery and restaurant is for a bridal portrait session! I had a blast with Shonda at her bridal portrait session and it was great getting to see her again after her amazing new years eve wedding!
Montaluce Winery is a family-owned winery in Dahlonega, Georgia. The winery’s wines have been awarded with many prestigious awards including the 2016 James Beard Foundation Award for Outstanding Wine, Spirits, or Beer Professional. The Montaluce Winery was founded in 1996 by Dan and Mary Montaluce. The winery is named after the Italian word for “mountain of light” and is located on top of a mountain overlooking the Chattahoochee National Forest. Montaluce Winery produces a wide range of wines from dry reds to sweet dessert wines. They are best known for their award-winning 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon which has been called “the quintessential Napa cabernet.”

Shonda was such an easy bride to photograph and the natural light was stunning. My favorite shots are with the veil and I thought the shadows and geometrical geometry was my favorite. Not every bride can pull off direct sunlight like shonda did!
