Dahlonega Family Lifestyle Portraits

I spent some time hanging out with some old friends in Dahlonega and decided to bring along the camera to try to capture some family documentary portraits for them. I’ve been doing family portraits for years now and while I’ve been winning awards for my photojournalism in weddings, I’ve always thought that type of work is amazing for families as well. I always try to sneak some candid moments in with families during their traditional sessions and they always love those surprises. But lately, as I see my children grow I’ve really come to appreciate how important documenting your life is and I want to push my family portrait business in this direction going forward. We just took the kids to the park for an hour or two and I just captured it how it happened, I really loved that the photo of Knox flying through the sky on a swing turned out!
