Lake Lanier Islands Wedding
Wow so when you shoot at a wedding venue as often as I photograph at Lake Lanier Islands, you don’t expect to get totally unique wedding photos. You worry that your photos will start to look the same. Well Alex made sure that didn’t happen with a number of firsts. It’s hard to have a first at a venue that has done thousands of weddings but she did. It was my first time doing portraits on a boat, having the bride enter on a boat for a first at the venue period, doing bridge photos at night, and even doing family portraits on the golf course. A few other ways she made it her own was by making her dogs be a part of the bridal party and amazing custom lighthouse and sailor themed decor by Jim White Designs. He killed it. The Venetian Pier has literally never looked that awesome. When you have so many firsts and so many logistical challenges you need a great wedding planner to make it happen. Emily from Marea Weddings was up to the test and miraculously made this wedding happen without a single hitch or timeline delay. And of course, having a fun awesome couple like Alex and Jamar makes it easy to get photographs with fun and emotion as well. My favorite was the photo of Alex holding on to her sweet moms face as she shed tears of pride and then the portraits at night were so fun to make.
Well like I said, it’s hard to make a unique wedding at such a popular venue, but Alex managed to do it and I had a blast getting to make awesome wedding photos with her.
