Chinese & Vietnamese Tea Ceremony

Ling and Dawson’s Chinese & Vietnamese Tea Ceremony was such a beautiful experience to be a part of. I love any time I get to see something different and learn about new cultures. this tea ceremony was a combination of some of the traditions from both Vietnamese and Chinese cultures and made for such a rich and beautiful experience. The event starts with the grooms family gatecrashing and offering gifts to the bride’s family and if they are excited then the grooms family is allowed to enter and the groom gets to be engaged with the bride. Ling decided Dawson needed to work a little harder and had the bridesmaids prepared with challenges for Dawson to complete to prove he was worthy before she would enter of course they had fun with it by masking him sing, do feats of strength, and most embarrassingly kiss his groomsmen. That provided for quite a few laughs for friends and family. The family elders take the bride and groom to light incense and candles as a tribute to family members who have passed and then the bride and groom get engaged. After the engagement, the bride and groom presented family members with tea and the family presented the couple with gifts. It was a beautiful tradition to witness and hopefully, I’ll get to photograph more beautiful tea ceremonies in the future. Oh and the traditional Chinese red dress ling wore was amazing and Dawson’s traditional Blue attire looked sharp as well.

Anyways thanks for looking and stay tuned for the wedding photos coming soon!
