Becky and Jareds Wedding at Laker Lanier Islands Legacy Point

What a great wedding at Legacy Pointe in Lake Lanier Islands. Becky and Jared are one of the sweetest couples ever. Everyone kept talking about how organized and detail focused Becky was (she had everything booked a few years ago haha) But for being a girl who knows what she wants she couldn’t be any nicer! And clearly these two wanted to be with each other. I think I photographed 1000 smiles from Becky and 500 tears from Jared (don’t worry you get brownie points for those) It’s my goal to capture emotion that tells your story in photos and It is a blessing to work with couples who are so in love that the emotion is all over the place making my job a piece of cake.

And these two being so genuine and kind must have earned some Karma with someone as the day started out with nothing but rain and a radar showing more to come. And for a girl who planned super early to have her dream outdoor wedding on the lake, she couldnt have been any more positive. She prepared with umbrellas for everyone and rolled with it. For a minute before the ceremony I looked at the rainclouds and said to my awesome second photographer, man looks like the rains back and we won’t get those sunset photos she’s looking forward to. Bummer. Then bam out came the sun for the most perfect outdoor ceremony ever. I was so happy that Becky and Jared got their faith rewarded with a beautiful day with the best light ever for their portraits.

My favorite photos were the emotional and happy ones but I am super excited we had some great light for their portraits down by the lake. Lake Lanier Islands is a gorgeous scenic venue and so we made sure to work in the water. Then of course after a rainy day we got an even better sunset full of color to wrap up their portraits with a bang.

I’m so grateful Becky Hired me a few years ago because working with them has been a real treat and I hope they cherish these photos as much as I cherished getting to make them.
